Basmati Rice
1 cup rice
1 1/2 cup water
3 cardamon pods
2 star anise
salt and pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Rinse rice in cold water.
- Add rice, cardamom, star anise, salt pepper, and water to the pot.
- Bring up to boil as quickly as possible and turn it down.
- Put on a tightly fitting lid. Simmer for 8-10 min. DO NOT REMOVE LID
- Remove star anise and cardamom pods, fluff with fork.
